Clovers
White White
Mainstay
A new highly productive, large leaf variety with high stolen density normally seen in smaller leaf varieties. Displays both persistence and high drymatter yields, making it ideal for use in high performance pastures. Has excellent heat tolerance and would be ideally suited in dairying pastures under irrigation.
Sowing rate:
3-5 kg/ha alone
1-3 kg/ha in a mix
- 800mm+
- Large
Nomad
A small to medium leaved white clover, Nomad was selected for increased persistence and drought tolerance, being especially suited to dry environments. It performs excellently under dryland sheep grazing and grows mostly in spring, summer and autumn. Nomad has high nutritive value and is relatively tolerant of acidic soils, with great stolon density allowing it to persist in areas prone to low summer soil moisture levels.
Sowing rate:
3-5 kg/ha alone
1-3 kg/ha in a mix
- 600mm+
- Small
Tribute
A medium-large leaved white clover, Tribute demonstrates strong persistence, superior out-of-season production and very high drymatter production. With tolerance to clover root weevil and excellent persistence under hard grazing, Tribute is adaptable to a wide range of farm types, providing very high production levels year-round.
Sowing rate:
3-5 kg/ha alone
1-3 kg/ha in a mix
- 700mm+
- Medium
Red Red
Relish
Relish red clover offers superior persistence within grazing systems, with a semi-prostrate growth habit and high yield potential. As a perennial species it contains low levels of oestrogen and is highly productive in early spring, making it a suitable pure stand choice for lambs or in permanent mixes for quality grazing, hay or silage.
Sowing rate:
10 kg/ha alone
4-6 kg/ha in a mix
- 700mm+
Rubitas
Rubitas red clover combines dense prostrate growth with high energy, high protein forage for digestibility and nutritive value. It has an excellent level of drought and cold tolerance and once established can tolerate persistent close grazing. Rubitas is suitable in heavy rainfall areas and is tolerant of waterlogging.
Sowing rate:
5-8 kg/ha alone
3-6 kg/ha in a mix
- 700mm+
Annual Annual
Lusa Persian
Lusa is an erect annual variety with excellent winter and spring growth. It is tolerant of waterlogging with good hard seed levels, making it well adapted to high rainfall zones. Late maturing and with a fast regrowth habit, Lusa is ideal for hay and silage needs and is also well suited to clay soils, with good tolerance to mild soil salinity.
Sowing rate:
5-10 kg/ha alone
3-7 kg/ha in a mix
- 400mm+
Viper Balansa
Viper is a late season annual clover providing higher hay yields and excellent seedling vigour for successful establishment. Viper demonstrates good tolerance of waterlogging and moderate tolerance of soil salinity to ensure outstanding performance in high rainfall zones. Its excellent late spring production and mature forage quality will assist in stock finishing for higher market prices.
Sowing rate:
5-8 kg/ha alone
1-2 kg/ha in a mix
- 400mm+
