This mix contains the following products
Kingsgate
Kingsgate is a mid-flowering perennial ryegrass and a strong performer in the Australian persistence market. It is densely tillered and offers good early-spring production with strong rust resistance levels.
Bred specifically to replace Kingston, Kingsgate has excellent low aftermath heading - a trait not common in early and mid-heading perennial ryegrasses - and performs well in low fertility areas and marginal country. It comes in standard endophyte and is best suited to sheep and beef grazing areas.
Sowing rate:
20-25 kg/ha alone
15-20 kg with clovers

- Diploid

Tribute
A medium-large leaved white clover, Tribute demonstrates strong persistence, superior out-of-season production and very high drymatter production. With tolerance to clover root weevil and excellent persistence under hard grazing, Tribute is adaptable to a wide range of farm types, providing very high production levels year-round.
Sowing rate:
3-5 kg/ha alone
1-3 kg/ha in a mix
- 700mm+
- Medium
Holdfast
Winter active variety with low to moderate summer dormancy, good persistence under drought. Semi erect growth habit, medium seedling vigour and winter production, high total production.
Sowing rate:
4-6 kg/ha alone
1-3 kg/ha with clovers
- 500mm+
Nomad
A small to medium leaved white clover, Nomad was selected for increased persistence and drought tolerance, being especially suited to dry environments. It performs excellently under dryland sheep grazing and grows mostly in spring, summer and autumn. Nomad has high nutritive value and is relatively tolerant of acidic soils, with great stolon density allowing it to persist in areas prone to low summer soil moisture levels.
Sowing rate:
3-5 kg/ha alone
1-3 kg/ha in a mix
- 600mm+
- Small
Coolamon
A black seeded sub clover variety with high seed production and hard seed levels, Coolamon offers improved seedling regeneration with dense swards for higher herbage development. This high yielding species has good resistance to clover scorch and improved winter and spring production. Ideally Coolamon is suited for sowing with Riverina in hay or grazing pasture mixes.
Sowing rate:
10-20 kg/ha alone
6-10 kg/ha in a mix
- 500mm+
Urana
A black-seeded variety with very high hard seed levels and exceptional vigour in autumn and winter, Urana sub clover is adaptable for wide-spread use in cropping and pasture rotations, with increased dry matter production and strong red legged earthmite resistance – resulting in stronger seedling growth.
Sowing rate:
10-20 kg/ha alone
6-10 kg/ha in a mix
- 400mm+
EcotainĀ®
Ecotain® environmental plantain is a mineral rich perennial grazing herb. Ecotain® is fast establishing and tolerant to a wide range of soils. This includes less fertile soils and especially dryland regions of approximately 600 mm rainfall. Ecotain® has a deep coarse root system, which gives it a degree
of drought tolerance and the ability to respond quickly after summer dry conditions. Ecotain® pastures offer some great animal performance potential for sheep, beef and dairy farmers, particularly in winter and spring, as well as supporting a high level of animal health, reduced incidence of dags in sheep and good micronutrient supply (Zn, Cu, Se, MG, Ca, K). Pure stands of Ecotain® can be used during lambing to increase lamb and ewe weights at weaning. It can also be used for lamb or beef finishing systems and in dairy enterprises. Ecotain® has been shown to reduce nitrate leaching by up to 89% in lysimeter studies, benefiting your farm and the environment*. Ecotain® can be sown alone as a pure stand or recommended in perennial pasture mixes, especially medium term, quality finishing mixes.

Sowing rates for mixes:
3-5kg/ha in perennial pasture mix
6-8kg/ha when mixed with clover
4kg/ha in a lucerne stand
6-8kg/ha when mixed with 2kg/ha brassica

Uplands
Uplands is a fine leaved Mediterranean cocksfoot with high tiller density and a very high level of drought and cold tolerance. It is a winter active and partially summer dormant variety that persists well under grazing, producing a large bulk of high protein, high energy forage that is highly palatable.
Best adapted for sowing in low rainfall temperate areas, Uplands grows rapidly in autumn to late spring and is very tolerant of aluminium and acid soils.
Sowing rate:
4-5 kg/ha alone
2-4 kg/ha with early maturing sub clovers
