This mix contains the following products
Victorian
Victorian is an early-heading diploid perennial ryegrass of the standard endophyte variety. It can cause animal health issues and is not recommended.
It can persist but is not as productive or rust resistant as newer varieties.
Sowing rate:
15-20 kg/ha alone
10-15 kg/ha with clovers
- Diploid
- 500mm+
New Tetila
New Tetilia is a fast growing tetraploid ryegrass designed to boost early feed.Rapid early growth establishes this variety quickly and its relatively high yield makes it an ideal standalone crop. New Tetilia has a high purity level and its high digestibility and sugar content suits grazing or hay silage production.
If you’re looking for that cost effective, fast establishing crop that you can also oversow in poor performing paddocks, New Tetilia has an excellent reputation for winter growth on farms across Australia.
Sowing rate:
25-30 kg/ha alone
15-25 kg/ha with clovers
- Tetraploid
- 500mm+
Yarck II
Yarck II is an Australian bred cocksfoot with good seedling vigour, improved establishment and strong winter growth. Yarck II has also demonstrated excellent summer activity with good response to summer rainfall. Similar to Porto Currie, Yarck II also displays strong all-round persistence.
Sowing rate:
5-10 kg/ha alone
1-5 kg/ha in a mix
- 400mm+
Riverina
Riverina is a yellow seeded sub clover variety producing moderate hard seed levels and large seed sizes to ensure vigour and establishment. Its resistance to root rot and clover scorch gives it a superior advantage over Trikkala, and it is equally suited to dryland or irrigated areas over a wide range of soils. Riverina performs better in autumn and winter than other varieties and offers strong drymatter production to boot.
Sowing rate:
10-20 kg/ha alone
6-10 kg/ha in a mix
- 500mm+
Knight
Knight is a fast establishing Italian diploid ryegrass that yields outstanding growth and performance in all seasons. Knight stands and delivers during winter and summer when you need your paddocks to be working hardest. Ideal for grazing, hay and silage, Knight has good tolerance to rust and its reputation as a fast starter has gained a strong following with milk and meat producers throughout Australia.
Sowing rate:
20-25 kg/ha alone
10-20 kg/ha with clovers
- Diploid
- 600mm+
Coolamon
A black seeded sub clover variety with high seed production and hard seed levels, Coolamon offers improved seedling regeneration with dense swards for higher herbage development. This high yielding species has good resistance to clover scorch and improved winter and spring production. Ideally Coolamon is suited for sowing with Riverina in hay or grazing pasture mixes.
Sowing rate:
10-20 kg/ha alone
6-10 kg/ha in a mix
- 500mm+
Border Balansa
Border is a mid season annual clover showing rapid growth in winter and spring and reliable regeneration the following year due to its good levels of hard seed. It demonstrates strong recovery from grazing and moisture stress and proves ideal for producing hay and forage, with very fast growth characteristics and excellent disease resistance.
Sowing rate:
5-8 kg/ha alone
1-2 kg/ha in a mix
- 400mm+
Winter White
Highly winter active, Winter White II is a large leaf white clover with superior establishment and winter production compared to other varieties. It can be included in all perennial pasture mixes as a valuable legume component through winter and early spring, proving ideal for grazing as well as hay and silage production. Winter White II also performs well with short term ryegrasses from grazing to improving silage and hay production.
Sowing rate:
3-5 kg/ha alone
